As the year comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about how this season carries so many layers.
For some, it’s full of celebration, sparkle, and gathering.
For others, it’s quieter, more reflective — even a little tender.
And for many of us, it’s a mix of both.
Wherever you find yourself this month, I hope you’re able to notice a few moments of joy — especially the smallest of ones. December always brings me a sense of gentle nostalgia and renewed hope, and I’m grateful to carry that with me into the new year.
As we prepare to turn the page, my wish for you is simple and sincere: good health, continued prosperity, and genuine joy - shared with the people you love and carried by the warmth, generosity, and light this season represents.

This December has been especially meaningful and slightly chaotic in our home. Earlier this year, we welcomed Jury (a female Malinois Shepherd) and Scotch (our sweet “Heinz 57”) into our family. Both were puppies, both abandoned in our neighborhood - Jury at just 6 weeks old, and Scotch a few months later at only 3 months old.
They've turned out to be perfect playmates and have brought so much life and laughter into our days. Our senior pups, Coco and Ice T (13 year old Chihuahuas), have… mixed feelings, but they're adjusting.
